There are many rewarding roles that need filling in order to bring a performance together - including lighting, set-construction, prompting,front-of-house, and bar & ticketing helpers.
If you become a member, you may not only just have the opportunity to perform on stage, but to learn all aspects of live theatre.
We do encourage new members to "have a go", even if they haven't been on stage before, with help and guidance from our more experienced members. However some members prefer to help in other ways - besides lighting, sound effects, prompting and front of house duties, you may be able to help with costumes, or furnishings, or you may be handy with a paint brush (either painting scenes or walls!) or good at finding or making 'props'.
Being part of the group is very rewarding.
Endeavour Theatre Company also arranges outings to see other live theatre performances, and have regular social gatherings for those who are interested.
Remember - being a member of an amateur theatre group develops self-confidence, and encourages skills in theatre arts and stagecraft.
A weekly fee of $5 is charged, which goes towards the hire of the hall, and the tea/coffee, and is payable only on the weeks you attend.
